How much should we tip our limo driver?

Whether you’re on a night out with friends or traveling from the airport, there’s always the question of how much, if at all, you should tip your driver. Some people may not even realize that they need to tip the driver and think that the gratuity is part of the amount they pay for the limo service. In large, gratuity is not included in the price of your trip, and tipping is a great way to support your driver, and it’s good etiquette as well!

When calling to book a trip for your wedding day, airport transfer, or any other occasion, it is recommended to plan ahead for a 10 – 15% gratuity after receiving the price. This should be included in the budget so there’s no last minute trips to the bank or ATM. If it’s planned for, it will make the evening even better and remove the stress, as you have nothing to worry about.

If your chauffeur has done an exceptional job, you may want to consider more than the customary 10 – 15%. A good chauffeur will arrive with the limousine on time, keep quiet, open and close doors, knowledgeably answer any questions you may have, and be polite and friendly.
